The Story of Paul and Sepe Hadik: Grateful Ministries
Paul and Sepe Hadik are a husband-and-wife team dedicated to serving Micronesian communities, especially the island of Kosrae in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), through their nonprofit organization, Grateful Ministries. Grateful Ministries was originally started by City Church in Honolulu in 2016 as an outreach ministry serving Pacific Islanders in Hawaii and Micronesia. In 2019, leadership of the ministry was turned over to Paul and Sepe Hadik, who expanded its work with a special emphasis on Kosrae. Paul Hadik brings more than 30 years of experience in education and community development throughout the Pacific region. Sepe Hadik has spent more than a decade helping lead Grateful Ministries, focusing especially on community outreach, women’s empowerment, and practical skills training in Kosrae. Together, Paul and Sepe continue building Grateful Ministries with a vision of serving Pacific Islanders through the sharing of God’s grace while developing local, sustainable difference-makers. Their work focuses on education, workforce development, small business support, and economic empowerment initiatives designed to strengthen local communities. The ministry is also a family effort rooted deeply in Kosrae. Paul and Sepe are joined by their oldest son Joshua, his wife Andrea, and their children Kamea and Saoirse; their oldest daughter Emeraldrose, her husband Zechariah, and their son Charles; as well as their youngest daughter Sonja. The Hadik family are currently members of Kosrae Grace Baptist Church, where they continue to worship, serve, and build relationships within the local community.
