Grateful Ministries Projects
Grateful Ministries is a nonprofit organization based in Malem, Kosrae, dedicated to serving the community through practical support, empowerment, and partnership. Our mission is to help create opportunities that strengthen individuals, families, and the community as a whole.
One of our current projects nearing completion is the Malem Women's Empowerment Center, a space designed to empower local women by providing access to resources, equipment, and opportunities for entrepreneurship. The center will be equipped with multiple sewing machines and commercial ovens, allowing women to partner with Grateful Ministries on various initiatives or launch and grow their own small businesses.
Beyond the Women's Empowerment Center, Grateful Ministries remains committed to working alongside the Malem community to identify and address local needs. Through collaboration, service, and community-driven projects, we strive to support sustainable growth and improve the quality of life for the people of Malem and Kosrae.

Women’s Center
We are currently renovating the site that will soon be our Womens Center. This is one of Grateful Ministries biggest priorities. In Kosrae, many women still face significant barriers to financial independence. Our center is designed to bridge that gap by providing a safe, supportive environment where women can master essential vocational skills, including cooking, baking, sewing, and modern crafting. More than just a classroom, the center features an on-site retail storefront. Allowing our participants to sell their handcrafted goods directly to the community. 
Sleeping Lady Pizza
At Sleeping Lady Pizza, we're more than just great pizza and fresh coffee—we're investing in the future of our island.
We hire local young people, offering some of the highest-paying entry-level jobs on the island while providing hands-on training in baking, customer service, management, logistics, and finance. Our goal is to equip them with the skills and confidence to one day start businesses of their own, strengthening their villages and creating opportunities for the next generation.

Zumba Health Initiative
Currently, Kosrae lacks the facilities needed for regular physical activity and fitness training. We are stepping in to fill that gap by providing equipment and hosting community-wide Zumba classes to make exercise accessible, fun, and culturally vibrant.
